America's national cuisine is nearly impossible to define, varying widely between the many distinct regions of this enormous country and influenced by waves of immigrants from all over the world. There are a few common dishes, such as pizza and hot dogs, that are popular all over the country, and others, from New England boiled dinner to Texas BBQ, that are unique to certain areas. We've collected recipes that either have strong American roots or use popular American ingredients.
Happy and successful cooking doesn't rely only on know-how; it comes from the heart, makes great demands on the palate and needs enthusiasm and a deep love of food to bring it to life.
