This drink is high in protein and has replaced my morning coffee and toast for breakfast. It is quick to make, delicious, and rich. Recommended to me by a internationally known yoga instructor, it is full of the best kind of energy and my kids love it!
12 ounces
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until the almonds are not grainy ( 2 minutes). Should be very creamy.
You can leave out the fruit and sweeten the drink with agave nectar for a simpler, lighter drink. Use more or less almonds depending on how rich you want the drink to be. For a perfectly smooth drink drink, you can leave out the fruit, strain it though a fine sieve, and blend the fruit in after straining. It's more elegant, and your kids may like it better that way, but I've gotten used to the texture as it is in the original recipe and its much quicker.

There are many miracles in the world to be celebrated and, for me, garlic is the most deserving.
