Vegetarian Chili Recipe

Vegetarian Chili Notes

I love chili, and I am not a big meat or bean eater. This is a good compromise. Although you can buy chili kits at any grocery store, making chili from scratch is not that difficult.

Preparation Instructions

Heat oil until hot. Add crumbles and saute for a minute or so. Add the rest of the ingredients. Use whatever amounts you want. (The more you experiment, the easier it is to throw a meal together with flavors you know you like.) Let simmer for about 15 minutes.

Helpful Hints

Unlike meat, the crumbles will absorb a lot of the liquid, so there is no need to thicken with masa.
