Vulcan’s Fire Walnuts Notes

I created this recipe to use our hottest blend in a new and fun way.

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg white, beaten until frothy and just beginning to hold some shape
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Vulcan's Fire Salt
  • 2 packed tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 cups walnut halves or pieces

Serves / Yields

6-8

Preparation Instructions

Preheat oven to 300° and line a baking sheet with parchment.

Mix Vulcan’s Fire and brown sugar into egg. Mix walnuts into egg mixture. Spread on parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake 10 minutes. Stir up to loosen from sheet as well as break up the clumps. Bake another 10 minutes or until dry.

Let cool and serve

I don't think a really good pie can be made without a dozen or so children peeking over your shoulder as you stoop to look in on it every little while.
