Pepper blends can add a great depth to your dish, all with a flick of the wrist and a shake of the spice jar. These blends are made with lots of fresh-ground Tellicherry pepper, so they can be used a a substitute for plain ground pepper to add more complexity of flavor. Pepper blends are also a wonderful substitute for salt for people limiting sodium intake.
Lettuce is divine, although I'm not sure it's really a food.
