Premium Spiced Sugars Gift Box, Sugar and Spice Gift

The Spice House Premium Spiced Sugars gift box has sugar and spice and everything nice.... and spiced sugar is twice as nice! We custom make these sugars, very painstakingly, in small weekly batches. We start with a fine cane sugar and our best, premium vanilla beans which are chopped by hand for each small batch. To insure the delicate vanilla flavor comes through, we also add several varieties of vanilla extract. After mixing, the giant stainless steel mixing bowl must sit, screen covered, in the sunshine for as many days as it takes to dry. There is no rushing this process in the dreary, gloomy days of winter. The end result is a delightful product whose fabulous essence we probably minimize by simply calling it vanilla sugar.

Three of these sugars are variations of this sugar, the fourth, maple sugar is its own, lovely flavor, the product of maple trees in our home state, Wisconsin.

The box is packaged with cinnamon sticks, bay leaves and nutmeg, all of which are cookable!

These are the sugars included: VANILLA SUGAR - This vanilla flavored sugar is made with our premium hand-chopped Bourbon Island Vanilla beans, our richest, most intense vanilla extract and the finest pure cane sugar. It is so good you can eat it by the spoonful! Sprinkle on toast, hot cereals, use to sweeten tea, cocoa or coffee, add to French toast, over oatmeal or cream of wheat.

CHICAGO OLD TOWN PREMIUM SPICED SUGAR A delightful variation of VANILLA SUGAR, for more sophisticated tastes. We start with the vanilla sugar above and add our freshly ground China cassia cinnamon and ground cardamom. LAVENDER VANILLA-SUGAR . Our Vanilla Sugar is such a WONDERFUL product, that we found ourselves searching for ways to expand its horizons. Flowers are currently very popular and cutting edge in the culinary world so we decided to give it a shot. So we took our vanilla sugar and added just enough really high-end lavender to give it a very subtle floral note. The more we experimented with this new sugar, the better we liked it. Very nice in tea. Sprinkle on hot buttered toast or waffles. If you make your own salad vinagrettes, you will be in for a treat if you replace the plain sugar with this. Makes a nicely unusual tea or sugar cookie. If you have your friends to afternoon tea, this is a lovely accompaniment.

MAPLE SUGAR, GRANULATED This is, quite simply, fine Wisconsin maple syrup tapped, dried and ground. We LOVE the flavor and the endless possibilities for its use in baking, marinades, barbecue sauces... It's a great replacement for white sugar in baking, just bear in mind it will create a slightly different texture. Perfect for sprinkling on oatmeal or baked fruit.
