Our ground ancho is made from the mild outer flesh of the pepper, giving it an intense, wonderfully rich chili flavor with almost no heat. This deep red-brown ancho pepper powder is a great base for Mexican dishes, chili, sauces and meat rubs. The rich flavor also pairs well with chocolate; adding a bit to brownies, cakes, or hot cocoa enhances the  chocolate flavor without adding heat.
