an excellent blend
I grow these herbs in my garden and though I prefer using them fresh, this dried blend is almost an exact duplicate of my own mix of fresh herbs, when we are in the growing season. So what is "almost an exact duplicate?" Sometimes, when they are available fresh from my garden, I use the Lime Basil and Lemon Thyme variants, instead of Genovese and English. That is a personal preference in some dishes.
Otherwise, I would recommend this product to anyone. I use it in rubs, sauces, tomato gravies and even in making some bread doughs. I make a marvelous, brick baked, free standing, Italian style bread loaf with this blend added and with an additional twist of fresh ground black pepper. I like it also in other doughs, such as Focaccia, pizza dough, Pane Fiore, pita and naan. A small amount goes a long way in brightening the taste of fresh baked bread. Overall, I gave it five stars because I could not give it six.
