Pepper hater loves these peppers!
As someone who has always hated black pepper for being acrid and overpowering, I really love the Lampongs. They have a great flavor and smell good when they're being ground fresh and are such a world apart from common black pepper. I used them in pepper-featured dishes like Cacio e Pepe and Carbonara pasta, and also in complex blends like Indian masalas and meat rubs. If you haven't tried whole peppercorns because you haven't liked pre-ground, definitely give these a try!
