Sumac, Cured Turkish

This sumac is the best we've tasted. Ever. Big and bright with lemony notes of sour cherry and dried cranberries and just enough salt to give it shelf life. We dare you to find something this isn't good on.

Sumac is widely used in Middle Eastern cuisine in dishes such as hummus, baba ganoush, kebabs, rice, and salad dressings. This single origin Sumac is chopped and cured in salt, instead of the typical sun-dried method.

The tart, lemony flavor is especially delicious in this variety. Garnish you morning eggs with the flakes, or use it as a delectable finish for fish and seafood.
