Chardonnay oak smoked sea salt is a unique salt that brings together an unlike pair: an artisinal salt company and a prestigious winery. The delicate fleur de sel salt crystals are smoked over aged wine barrels for a light, sweet, smoky flavor that makes a delicious finishing salt.


First, salt crystals are raked by hand and then dried by being smoked above fires fueled by hand selected French oak wine barrels that were used to house and age premium French chardonnay for around 5 to 7 years. The salt turns light brown as it roasts and absorbs the smoke flavor as well as flavors from the oak and chardonnay. Using this salt as a finishing salt is sure to make your dish extraordinary. Great on meat, seafood, omelets, potatoes and salads.
