This is a lighter, more sauce-like variety of the traditional North African condiment. It has a sweetness from the bell peppers, heat from chilies, and a delightful fragrance of Moroccan cumin. Creator Mina Kallamni says that red and green harissas can be used interchangeably, depending on personal preference, but that she especially likes the green harissa with grilled meats.
Ingredients: Green bell pepper, green chilies, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, salt, cumin.
