Lemongrass, Organically Sourced

Lemongrass is an essential ingredient in Southeast Asian cooking. Its flavor is light, herbal, and citrusy. Dried lemongrass is milder than fresh, but is shelf-stable and can be substituted when fresh is not available.

Lemongrass is used to flavor broths, sauces, and curry pastes in Southeast Asia, especially in Thai cuisine. The effervescent flavor compliments stronger herbal flavors, pungent fish sauces, and fiery Thai chilies. Fresh lemongrass is generally preferable, but when it can’t be found in local markets, this dried lemongrass keeps quite a nice flavor. Use ½ as much dried as fresh.
