Matcha is finely powdered green tea leaves, suitable for making into traditional Japanese green tea or using to flavor sauces, baked goods, and custards. We source a ceremonial grade of tea for a premium flavor and color.

Earthy and grassy, the subtle aroma of green tea plays wonderfully in sweet baked goods. A little matcha powder added to cake batter or custard base gives a lovely pale green color as well as a pleasant tea flavor, or mix it into frosting for cupcakes. In savory foods, matcha adds an interesting dimension to vinaigrette dressings or light cream sauces for fish or root vegetables. For a soothing beverage, whisk matcha powder into warm milk with a little honey.
