Oregano, Mexican Powdered

Mexican oregano has a more robust taste than Greek oregano, with an astringent bitterness that pairs well with rich or spicy flavors. This finely powdered form releases flavor quickly, perfect for blending into sauces, ceviche, and dishes with little or no cooking time.
Also available as Broken Leaf

Mexican oregano comes from a plant in the verbena family, native to Mexico and Central America. It’s used in Mexican and Latin cooking to add a bright astringency that counters the rich flavors of meats and beans. Use this herb to add an authentic flavor to chili, moles, bean dishes, and braised meats.
