These onions are one of the best shortcuts you can use to save time and waste in the kitchen. Once they’re rehydrated, they’re a flavorful substitute for fresh onions. Add these slices of onion to dishes that have long cooking times, or use in marinades and brines.
To rehydrate, simply soak in warm water for about 15 minutes, then drain. Five teaspoons dehydrated minced onion equals 1/4 cup rehydrated onion.
