The berries for black peppercorns are picked from the vine just before they ripen and turn red. As they dry, the berries turn black. Left to ripen longer than most black peppercorns, these whole Tellicherry peppercorns have a full, robust flavor described as almost fruity. Its mellow complexity makes it a wonderful all-purpose pepper in your kitchen. This high grade pepper, known as Tellicherry Garbled Extra Bold, is a favorite with chefs and home cooks.
