Fennel Pollen

There's a reason why chefs often refer to fennel pollen as 'culinary fairy dust.' Its notes of anise, licorice, citrus, and honey make it both a flavor and flavor booster. Fennel pollen is delicious in Sicilian pasta dishes and sprinkled on pork chops. Use it as a finisher as you would use fleur de sel. Also available in Whole Fennel Seeds, or Ground Fennel Seeds.

Details

Fennel pollen is hand collected from wild fennel which grows predominantly in Italy and now in California, thanks to Italian immigrants. Fennel pollen is a powerfully condensed spice with flavors of licorice, citrus and sweetness. Fennel pollen can be used in any dish you would add fennel seed or anise seed. It pairs well with grains, pastas, squash, pork, chicken and even icecream. This powerful spice should be used sparingly, as a little goes a long way. Ingredients: Fennel pollen.

Catnip for humans!!

I would say any form of fennel is an "acquired taste" so, lucky for me, I'm the only person in my household who likes this, YaY! I "blister" a handful of shishito peppers every night to put atop my salad.....these lovely grains are an added delight.....coupled w/a drizzle of a decent truffle oil! However, I do agree w/another customer who said the amount could be larger....but, a tiny sprinkle does go a long way. Is my new fave addiction/pantry staple and, I'm not sad about it. Cheers!! :)

poor amount options

The SH version of the spice is excellent. I use allot of it across meat and fish recipes. Not so much on fowl. My issue is with the SH packaging.

Why did you abandon different amount purchase options? Is there any advantage to your customers having to order 2 jars at a time vs. a tin? It's incredibly wasteful, and you certainly do not appreciate your customers who need larger amounts.
