Pullman Ribs
We named this blend for the historic area of Chicago where the Pullman train car company developed an experimental city for for their employees. The beautiful Florence Hotel hosted delicious pork chop dinners for all of Pullman's employees. Ingredients: Pepper, garlic, salt, onion, hickory smoke salt (salt, smoke flavor, silicon dioxide), hickory smoke powder (maltodextrin, smoke flavor, silicon dioxide), ginger.
The name doesn’t do it Justice, I use this spice in so so many recipes. It works for a multitude of foods. Have bought it as gifts for friends.
Is this on pork primarily and like it a lot
The smoky and pepper flavor on roast beef brings back fond memories of dishes that my dad would make. It is great on brisket as well. I also love it on the pork. Very versatile spice.
This stuff is amazing on pork chops. I don’t want to imagine pork chops without it. But, I just discovered how smoky and rich it makes split pea with ham soup and ham and corn chowder.
We tried the Pullman Pork Seasoning for the first time and were blown away! It makes pork chops taste just like the pork chops on a stick at the Wisconsin State Fair-- and that's as good as pork chops get! So tasty. There are a number of spices that we have used over the years on pork chops, but none of them come close to the flavor of the Pullmzn seasoning. Thank you!
