I agree with the other comments. The original one was great. Please consider bringing it back.
The old Shichimi Togarashi Japanese Seven Spice recipe was the best on the market. I now shop elsewhere for Shichimi Togarashi and my other spices as well. I still keep my email subscription with The Spice House in hopes that in checking back you have returned to the older recipe. I am going to look back one more time next month, and give The Spice House one last time to restore the older Shichimi Togarashi recipe before giving up and exiting my subscription for good. Sorry.

I loved the Spice House Japanese Seven Spice blend and used it frequently on veggies, rice and especially salmon. The Japanese Seven Spice was discontinued and replaced with the Morimoto blend. Sad. This Morimoto blend is NOT NEARLY as good AND is more expensive. I will be looking elsewhere for my favorite Seven Spice. I will not purchase the Morimoto Shichimi Togarashi again.

I've used Shichimi Togarashi for years and I love it. Its a light peppery blend that is subtle and complex which you can sprinkle on just about anything. Spice House once made a Japanese Five Spice blend that was a wonderful Shichimi Togarashi. It was the absolute best ever. They chose, however, to replace it with this new blend which I find bland. It just doesn't have much flavor. You barely know its there.
