Harissa paste makes for an excellent condiment or sandwich spread, but it truly shines in your home cooking. Add it to soups, stews, sauces, salad dressings, dips, and BBQ marinades. Thin it with some freshly squeezed lemon juice and use it to baste grilled fish, or as a dressing for a tomato and parsley salad. New York Shuk’s harissa follows a secret recipe handed down to co-founder, Ron Araazi from his grandmother. Ingredients: sun-dried chile peppers, non-GMO canola oil, water, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, garlic, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, salt.

A little something extra

I purchased this because my boyfriend had eaten my whole jar that I had bought from another company and saw that it was offered on this site. So, naturally I bought him another jar from here. We mix it with dips, add it to marinades for vegetables, mix in with couscous to go along with our tagines, add it to cocktail sauce (he loves ketchup-- so he adds it to that all the time, lol)... it's really a nice condiment to complement a number of dishes, sauces, or snacks. I'll probably use it in a chutney for samosas here soon.
