Bronzeville BBQ Spare Ribs Recipe

Preparation Instructions

Preheat oven to 275.

Clean your ribs, removing membrane and loose meat bits. Cover all over with Bronzeville rub, as much as easily sticks to the meat. Place in a large baking dish and cover tightly with foil. Bake about 3 hours, until meat is very tender and pulls away from the bone.

Transfer ribs to a hot grill and baste with a mixture of ketchup and Bronzeville rub or your favorite BBQ sauce, about 5 minutes per side. Let ribs rest about 10 minutes, then slice between the bones and serve immediately.

Helpful Hints

If you are smoking ribs, try smoking them at 250 degrees for 3-4 hours. The ribs should not exceed an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Begin basting the ribs in the last 30-40 minutes of smoking.
