Cucumbers with Sour Cream Recipe

Preparation Instructions

After slicing the cucumber, salt heavily, and set aside for 1/2 hour to allow the juices to come out.

Drain and wash the cucumber, squeezing out all of the liquid. Add the sour cream and Lake Shore Drive Seasoning. Stir and serve.

It is even better if allowed to sit in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour prior to serving.

My mother-in-law made this for many years. Since her death, we could not find a recipe. Since she grew up in Chicago we feel so much pleasure that we can fix this just like Mom used to using the Lake Shore seasoning packet. It is very light and refreshing especially if you use the fat free sour cream.
