Dad's famous chili

Everyone I know lives loves this chili and comes back for seconds! When my dad passed away a few years ago, he left behind his famous chili recipe. I have never shared this recipe with anyone, but decided to share it in memory of him.

Dad's famous chili Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 Tbls Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 Tbs Cayenne
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 15 oz cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 15 oz cans Rotel Original diced tomatoes and chiles
  • 1 15 oz can chili beans
  • 2 lbs hamburger meat (80/20)
  • garnish sour cream
  • garnish shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation Instructions

Brown hamburger meat and drain.

Put meat in crock pot. For each can you open and put in crock pot fill the can with water and add to crock pot.

Add your spices and onion.

Let simmer for four hours, which makes the chili broth to die for.

Grab yourself a chili bowl pour and add some cheddar cheese and a splash of sour cream.
