Lasagna Soup

I had lasagna soup at a local restaurant and had to come home and recreate it. I looked at different recipes online but didn't think any of them matched the taste that I had enjoyed. So I created my own! After a couple of failed attempts, this is a new family favorite! It tastes like lasagna without all the effort!

Lasagna Soup Recipe

Preparation Instructions

Brown beef, garlic power, white onion & Italian seasoning in a large 4 quart pot until browned. Add diced tomatoes and half the broth. Add tomato paste until mixed. Heat to a boil. Stir in pasta and then remaining broth. Heat to boil. Add 1/2 cup of cheese. Cook over medium low heat 10 minutes, or until pasta is done. Stir in remaining cheese. Salt to taste, but thereโ€™s usually enough salt in the beef broth and cheese.

I have been looking for a good Lasagna Soup recipe for a while. When I saw this one, it seemed that it took everything that I love about lasagna and turned it into soup. I did tweak it a little by using fresh onion and garlic, and adding some crushed red pepper, Vulcan Fire Salt and a small can of tomato sauce.
