Moroccan Orange Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 naval oranges, peeled and sliced
  • 2 Mandarin oranges, peeled and sliced
  • 1-2 teaspoons Korintje cinnamon
  • 1/8 cup toasted almond slivers
  • 1/8 cup fresh mint leaves, torn or shredded

Preparation Instructions

Arrange sliced oranges and mandarins on plate.

Dust with cinnamon before garnishing with almond slivers and shredded mint leaves.

Serve immediately.

Helpful Hints

Add touch of rosewater or orange blossom water for an extra lift. Toppings can be customized to your liking. Some crumbled goat cheese or a bit of pomegranate seeds would work well in this dish. Sliced and pitted dates are a welcomed guest to this party.

Even the spices are open to interpretation. Cumin would be an interesting spin on this flavor profile. Ras el Hanout adds an aromatic complexity as well.
