This cracked rosemary comes from putting whole rosemary through a grinder to reduce the size to about 1/4 inch pieces. This makes them much more palatable for those who do not care for the barbs of the whole rosemary needles. Fresh grinding these needles makes a powder quite potent and well suited for sauces.

Potent, convenient, and economical

I always use fresh Rosemary leaves when it us abundantly grown in our garden. When the first frost arrives, I used to dry any leftovers or freeze them, but they ate not as flavorful and potential as the fresh ones. I do not like buying them in the grocery due to questionable quality since I do not know how long they have been sitting on the shelves and for how long they have been packed in their individual packaging. Since I work close to their Evanston store, I decided tonguve it try. To my amazement, this dried herb is top-notch quality and potent. I only used a half a teaspoon in the dish I was preparing and it's flavor shined through. My skepticism was averted and started buying all my spices and herbs from the Spice House from now on. I highly recommend you to drop by because it is quite an experience to be at their store reminiscent of the spice bazaars of Turkey. It the the closest to the real thing.

Wonderful with Potatoes, Soups and Chicken/Faux Chicken. Great in every Italian dish you make, too! Love using this in homemade Crackers, Focaccia and Bread. SH products are always fresh. This is my FAVORITE place to buy the freshest of spices!
