Orange Shortbread with Dark Chocolate Recipe
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- pinch salt
Serves / Yields
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. With a hand-held mixer, beat together the butter and and sugar. Add extract. Blend in flour thoroughly. Pat into an 8x8 square pan. Press in chocolate. Bake 30-35 minutes, until slightly firm to touch. Cut into squares while still warm. Remove from baking pan and cool on a rack.
