Plum Ginger Mustard Notes
This recipe was created by Spice House staffers Adam Schwartz and Tracy Turoczy for an event at the Evanston Women's Club.
- 2 Tablespoons Oriental Mustard Powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon cold water
- 2 Tablespoons plum sauce
- 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Store in sealed container in refrigerator.
This is a perfect pairing for Five-Spice Braised Pork Belly.
If you want to bring out the fruity plum flavor, add a bit of sugar.
For vegan sauce, make sure you're using vegan hoisin sauce.
