Whole mustard is useful for potato salads, Indian dishes, and making your own prepared mustard sauces. They can be stored whole and powdered with a mortar and pestle for incomparable freshness. Use whole seeds in marinades and pickling.
The Spice House offers two yellow mustard seeds: Regular yellow, used in Western cooking, and the smaller and hotter Oriental mustard seeds. We also carry brown mustard seeds (also called black mustard seeds), called for in many Indian recipes.
Vegetarians claim to be immune from most diseases but they have been known to die from time to time.
