Vanilla Extract

Vanilla extract is an easy way to add the sweetness and depth of flavor of vanilla to any baked goods or sauces. Our vanilla extract is made by cold-percolating a pure grain alcohol through high-quality vanilla beans - 100 beans per gallon for Single-Strength vanilla, and 200 beans per gallon for our rich Double-Strength vanilla. We use cane sugar for our sweetener, never corn syrup, and use no artificial flavors, which can cause vanilla to have a bitter, flat taste.

We carry vanillas from Madagascar, which is a major producer, as well as Mexico and Tahiti. Mexican vanilla has a richer, earthier flavor than the more common Madagascar. Tahitian vanilla tastes like you'd expect anything from Tahiti to taste: very fruity and floral. Come in and smell the difference to see which will be your favorite.

We are proud to carry one of the deepest lines of vanilla products in the country. All of our vanilla extracts are made using a time consuming slow, gentle extraction. While other companies might heat the vanilla beans to release flavor more quickly, this compromises the final finished flavor. The slower extraction process used for our vanilla extract produces a finished result with far more depth and intensity of flavor. We further intensify the flavor of the finished product by adding a mini vanilla bean to each bottle. When you have used up your vanilla, take the leftover vanilla bean, cut it open into ½ inch pieces, and add it to your sugar, powdered sugar or coffee canister. The more vanilla beans you add, the more vanilla flavor you will get!

Almost every person has something secret he likes to eat.
