Buttermilk Dressing Base
Buttermilk Dressing Base is a popular choice for ranch-style dressing. You’ll be surprised how much better it tastes when you mix it up yourself. Use it on salads, or as a dip for fresh vegetables.
This also allows you to be preservative free and control both the fat and calorie content. For two cups of dressing, mix 1-2 tablespoons seasoning with 1 cup buttermilk and 1 cup mayonnaise. For a lower-calorie version, just substitute lowfat mayonnaise or lowfat sour cream. It's also nice sprinkled on cooked vegetables. We particularly like it on diced potatoes, when they are baked around roast chicken. This blend contains: Tellicherry black pepper, kosher flake salt, granulated garlic and onion, msg, minced green onion, red and green bell pepper bits. Sodium content: 673.05 mg per teaspoon; 21.92% sodium
