Green onion flakes add a nice color and flavor to any dish. These are the dried green part of the scallion. They are nice for both their flavor, which is quite similar to chives, and their appearance, which makes an attractive garnish for casseroles, vegetable dishes such as potatoes au gratin, and fish.
People who know nothing about cheeses reel away from Camembert, Roquefort, and Stilton because the plebeian proboscis is not equipped to differentiate between the sordid and the sublime.
