Dehydrated toasted onions are a simple easy way to add real onions without slicing, dicing and crying! Easily add a bit of onion flavor to any dish, with one shake of a jar. These onions are toasted, for a mild nutty flavor without added oil. They are one of the best shortcuts you can use to save time and waste in the kitchen. Once they’re rehydrated, you’ll never know that they aren’t fresh. They’ll even make your eyes water if you get too close! Use them anywhere you would use fresh onions. Add them to dishes containing liquid, such as, gravies, soups, sauces, stews, meat loaf, meatballs, hamburgers, omelets, chili, and sour cream dips.
To rehydrate, simply soak in an equal volume of water for about 15 minutes. Then, drain off any excess water. 5 teaspoons dehydrated minced onion equals 1/4 cup rehydrated onion.
Sold in bulk only.
As the days grow short, some faces grow long. But not mine. Every autumn, when the wind turns cold and darkness comes early, I am suddenly happy. It's time to start making soup again.
