This delicious maple sugar is made from pure Wisconsin maple sap. The sap is boiled until enough moisture is gone to allow for crystallization. Once the condensed sap is hot enough (about 250°F), it is vigorously stirred until it becomes completely granulated.
Maple sugar is about twice as sweet as cane sugar, with a subtle woodsy flavor. It is useful in baking, and great for use in marinades and barbecue sauces. Sprinkle it over toast, waffles, or pancakes for a real treat!
