Our International Salt Free spice box brings you an interesting selection of seasonings that feature spice combinations used in other regional areas of the world. All these blends contain spices and herbs that were ground fresh weekly at The Spice House and mixed in small custom batches to insure the highest quality and top level of freshness. You will derive so much flavor out of these blends that you'll never notice they're without salt.
This box includes: SUNNY PARIS SEASONING This is perhaps our most luxurious blend. A wonderfully light seasoning that is fabulous on fish or seafood. Very nice for omelets, sauteed vegetable medleys, cold pasta salads, chicken, shrimp or tuna. Can be mixed with sour cream or yogurt to make a dip for crudites or chips. Hand mixed from: freeze-dried shallots, green peppercorns, dill weed, scallions, French basil, French tarragon, French chervil, parsley flakes and ground Muntok white pepper.
SUNNY SPAIN SEASONING Most people are familiar with pepper-lemon seasoning and how to use it. What they don’t know is that in most PEPPER-lemon blends the first ingredient is salt! This is the same flavor with no salt, sugar or MSG. Our best blend for fish but also good on just about everything else. We hate to mention any dish that contains fat when we are being so virtuous about salt, but this blend is GREAT on fried chicken (works well for low-fat oven fried chicken as well) Use on vegetables, poultry of any sort, hamburgers, sliced tomatoes or pork chops. Hand mixed from: Freshly ground Tellicherry black pepper, powdered lemon peel, citric acid, garlic and onion powder.
ADOBO SEASONING We call this type of Adobo seasoning RURAL style as it is simple zesty flavors unadulterated by salt. Adds great South of the Border flavor, pungent but not too hot, to any dish. Add around ½ teaspoon per pound to flavor chicken, beef, pork chops, ribs or cutlets, burritos, beef for nachos or to spice up any bland salsa or tomato sauce. Hand mixed from: onion powder, garlic powder, Tellicherry black pepper, ground cumin, and powdered Mexican oregano.
SUNNY SINGAPORE SEASONING Named after the city that combines the best of both the Western and Eastern worlds, we like to think this seasoning does the same by combining a peppery lemon flavor with the curry spices. The twang from the lemon makes the omission of salt barely discernable. Good for steamed vegetables, chicken or tuna salad, egg dishes, rice, stir fry, pork fried rice, mixed with yogurt for salad dressing. Hand mixed from: black pepper, turmeric powder, powdered lemon peel, citric acid, coriander, cumin, ginger, fenugreek, garlic, fennel, nutmeg, cinnamon, white pepper, onion powder, red cayenne pepper, ground cloves, and ground cardamom.
