Moroccan Spice Mixture is an authentic blend of spices from the sunny Mediterranean.
Made at the special request of Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History. The original recipe for this blend was developed by our chef friend Dave Esau. Initially, we refrained from adding it to our in-store line because we saw Moroccan cooking as a trend that would wane quickly. Predicting a trend is just guesswork, and we guessed wrong! Moroccan food still seems to be gaining popularity.
To use this blend, lightly coat chicken or fish before grilling or baking. It also adds nice flavor to assorted vegetables. Hand mixed from: Kosher flake salt, cumin, coriander, sugar, hot curry powder, ground cardamom, and Chinese cassia cinnamon.
The table is the only place where a man is never bored for the first hour.
