Vietnamese "Saigon" Cassia Cinnamon, Organic
This certified organic Vietnamese cinnamon comes from one of the largest cassia trees, which has a thick, high oil bark. The flavor of Saigon cinnamon is often considered by American palates to be the quintessence of cinnamon; intensely sweet and a little hot, like red-hot candies. We're pleased to have finally found an organic version of our long-time best selling cinnamon that has the same strength of flavor as our conventional version.
Because of its strong flavor, Saigon cinnamon is ideal for sprinkling on toast, oatmeal, and fruit. It makes absolutely the best cinnamon rolls and is great in apple pie. This is not a cinnamon that plays supporting roles to other flavors, so it can overpower dishes where cinnamon isn't meant to be the primary taste.
