It is said that many years ago, when political and religious dissidents were allowed to leave English prisons to settle in the Americas, they brought with them (to the Ozarks) their love of the savory herbs grown in Britain; thyme, rosemary, savory.
To coat fried chicken that twangs with flavor, mix one part Ozark Fried Chicken Seasoning with five parts flour in a bag. Throw the chicken pieces in and shake until coated. This seasoning is also nice on pork chops and burgers.
