Salsa Seasoning

Salsa Seasoning, Salsa Spice Mix

Salsa seasoning is a GREAT snack idea for campers. This salsa is best made with fresh tomatoes, but, if you are in the wilderness, canned tomatoes work just fine. Be careful not to get the powdered jalapeno pepper up you nose when you take a sniff of this delicious spice blend.

To make killer salsa, simply add 8 tablespoons seasoning (two ounces) to two cups of fresh tomatoes, or a 14 ounce can of diced tomatoes. Next, add about one cup of water, which will reconstitute your dried spice blend. Do not be concerned if you think this will be way too thin, the dehydrated vegetables will soak up most of the liquid. Best when left to soak overnight, but half an hour will do the trick.

Hand mixed from: tomato powder, minced onion, red & green bell peppers, sugar, lime peel, salt, garlic, jalapeno, and cilantro.

To make a good salad is to be a brilliant diplomatist. The problem is entirely the same in both cases: to know how much oil one must mix with one's vinegar.
