When the Indian Subcontinent crashed into Asia and pushed the Himalayan mountains out of the ocean, drying seawater left salt deposits high and dry. Eons later, that salt is being mined from the foothills of the Himalayas. Rich in the healthful minerals found in ocean water, this salt is as pure as the prehistoric seas from which it came. The delicate pink color makes it a dramatic finishing salt. Sold in decorative window tins.
Chili is much improved by having had a day to contemplate its fate.
