This rare white salt is made in Perugia, Italy, from fine Guerande sea salt and flakes of the elusive truffle. The rich, earthy flavor of truffles makes even simple scrambled eggs and French fries gourmet. A very upscale classic hotel in Chicago even serves their popcorn popped in truffle oil and salted with truffle salt that is really delicious. Lots of truffle flavor!!!

I was on the fence...

I was on the fence, but only because of the price point - things are just so spendy right now and fancy salt didn't seem prudent.
I found myself coming back again and again and finally just bought it.
Is it spendy? Sure is. But I can attest that a little goes a long way and the jar will last a while.
I've only tried this on fries so far but it'll be hard going back to "regular" fries again.
