We really like these new vase grinders, for a multitude of reasons. The original CrushGrind ceramic mechanism can handle anything you put in it. We were very surprised to be able to grind spices as soft as lavender sugar, shallots or cardamom pods, where the shell is soft but the inner seeds are hard. Also does any seed; great for Grains of Paradise, cumin, flax, coriander or the basic salt or black pepper. Grinding mechanism is adjustable from fine to coarse and has a 25 year warranty. The base and top come in a variety of colors while the clear body lets you see your attractive spices. Easy to fill and easy to grind with fitted finger grips. The best part is that you turn the mill upside down to grind, which means it rests with the grinding mechanism on top, and no spices leak out onto your surface when not in use. Available in black, white, red, blue or black with silver stainless steel top band.
