1 Quart
Whisk two eggs together until somewhat fluffy(about 1-2 minutes). Then, gradually whisk in the sugar. Blend in the milk and cream. Blend in the garam masala powder and vanilla.
Transfer to ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
I made this up based on Ben and Jerry's sweet cream base and some good luck with a past recipe for cinnamon ice cream. I imagine you could use just about any "sweetish" spice for variations in this. Of course, you can use any other ice cream base you like if you have concerns about fat or sugar.

Strawberries are too delicate to be picked by machine. The perfectly ripe ones even bruise at too heavy a human touch. It hit her then that every strawberry she had ever eaten--every piece of fruit--had been picked by calloused human hands. Every piece of toast with jelly represented someone's knees, someone's aching back and hips, someone with a bandanna on her wrist to wipe away the sweat. Why had no one told her about this before?
