Domestic basil is generally regarded as superior to imported basil. Our California basil is very clean, is of the more costly "coarse broken leaf" style and has an excellent flavor and color. Basil sells more than any other herb in the U.S. Combine with tomato and garlic and you have an unbeatable trio. When using this basil for pesto, most people cannot distinguish between this dried and fresh basil. The biggest advantage to using this basil is that it will never wilt in your refrigerator!
