This box contains four smoky spices, perfect for adding a rich smoked taste to all kinds of food. With winter keeping most of us away from our grills, these spices are a great way to get the flavor of outdoor smoking without setting off any alarms. This box contains:
MILWAUKEE AVENUE STEAK SEASONING - This is one of our smokiest blends, and a favorite with the Spice House staff. Rub 1 teaspoon per pound of meat for wonderfully smokey steaks, or mix with hamburger meat for the best burgers ever. Also great for making smoky barbecue sauce or beef jerky. Hand mixed from: salt, hickory smoke powder, Hungarian sweet paprika, garlic, Tellicherry black pepper, and marjoram.
BRISKET OF LOVE BARBECUE RUB - This blend was developed by one of our managers to hand out as favors at his wedding. He ad his wife met at a barbecue where brisket was the centerpiece. Coarse and slightly sweet, this blend is perfect for making tender smokey meals out of tougher cuts of meat. Lovingly mixed from cane sugar, brown sugar, Hungarian sweet paprika, salt, ancho chile, Tellicherry pepper, Worchestershire powder, cayenne, celery seed, garlic, New Mexican chiles, coriander, green onion, citric acid and mesquite smoke powder.
PULLMAN PORKCHOP SEASONING - Named for the historic Pullman neighborhood of Chicago, this blend is a recreation of seasonings used at the Florence Hotel a century ago. Simply a lightly smoky, this is a great flavor for most cuts of pork. Hand mixed from ground black pepper, garlic, salt, onion, white pepper, ground ginger, and hickory smoke powder.
GROUND CHIPOTLE CHILI PEPPER - Chipotle peppers are jalapenos that have been smoked dry. This powder is ground from Morita chipotles, which are richly fruit flavored; hints of raspberry and cherry mix with strong smoke and pepper flavors for a delicious addition to rubs, sauces, soups, and of course Mexican dishes. Careful, it also adds quite a bit of heat!
Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie.
