Two of our Milwaukee store managers, Kate and Liz, returned from a wonderful trip to Paris with rave reviews about the city and their experiences. They brought back a sample of lavender-sugar, which we tested with some trepidation. Currently, there seems to be a strong interest in flowers used in culinary application. Heaven knows, we would not want the bandwagon to leave without us! We are sure our Vanilla Sugar is a WONDERFUL product, and we added just enough high-end lavender to give it a subtle floral note. The more we tried this product, the more we liked it. It's very nice in tea. Sprinkle it on hot buttered toast or waffles. If you make your own salad vinaigrettes, replace the plain sugar with this, and you'll be in for a treat. It makes a nice, yet unusual tea or sugar cookie. If you have your friends to afternoon tea, this is a lovely accompaniment to have handy.
