Makrut Lime Gimlet

This cocktail is bright and incredibly aromatic. Our Makrut Lime Leaves bring a layered citrus character that's deeper than lime juice alone, with floral high notes and a subtle, almost peppery finish.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • Pinch of flaky salt (plus more for rim)
  • Lime peel, for garnish

Preparation Instructions:

On a plate, mix together flaky salt & Makrut Lime Leaves in a 2:1 ratio. Run a lime wedge around the edge of a rocks glass and dip into the mixture. Set aside.


In a cocktail shaker, add the Makrut Lime Leaves and lightly muddle.


Add gin, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and a tiny pinch of salt. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.


Double strain into your prepared glass over fresh ice.


Finish with a curled lime peel and a sprinkle of Makrut Lime Leaves.
