Eve Extravaganza

A Saffron Honey riff on the classic Jungle Bird cocktail.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE COCKTAIL
  • 1.5 oz blackstrap rum
  • 0.75 oz pineapple juice
  • 0.5 oz honey saffron syrup
  • 0.5 oz Campari
  • 1/2 lime, juiced (approx 0.5 oz)
  • 1 dash black walnut bitters
  • 2 drops orange blossom water
  • FOR HONEY SAFFRON SYRUP
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 drops orange blossom water

Preparation Instructions:

To make honey saffron syrup:

Combine honey, water, saffron, and orange blossom water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, let simmer for 5 minutes before straining and cooling.

To make cocktail:

Combine cocktail ingredients in a shaker with ice.

Shake, strain, and serve in a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with pineapple leaves.
