Hungary

Hungary
In Hungarian food, paprika is the most commonly used ingredient. Not to be confused with the bland, tasteless orange powder found in American grocery stores, but a richly flavorful ground chili pepper that brings heat, taste, and color wherever it's used. Essential to classic Hungarian dishes such as chicken paprikash and goulash, Hungarian paprika comes in many varieties. Aside from paprika, an abundance of other spices, seasonings, and herbs are used in the hearty cuisine of Hungary.
